NICEIC Approved Contractor

The National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting is one of several organisations which regulates the training and work of electrical enterprises in the UK.

By selecting a NICEIC Approved Contractor, customers can be assured that the work they do is safe and is installed to the highest industry standards.

NICEIC Domestic Installer

The NICEIC Domestic Installer scheme covers contractors who do installation work in domestic properties.

It is important to use a Domestic Installer to comply with the requirements of Part P – the part of the UK’s Building Regulations that covers electrical installations in dwellings.

The scheme covers the design, installation, inspection, testing and certification of electrical work associated with dwellings, intended to operate at low or extra low voltage.

NICEIC Platinum Promise

NICEIC expects its Approved Contractors to provide a quality service to their customers and, therefore, endeavours to resolve all complaints about the technical standard of their electrical work. If a customer and an Approved Contractor are unable to resolve an alleged deficiency in the technical standard of electrical work, the customer can make a formal complaint to NICEIC.

NICEIC will help facilitate the negotiations between the contractor and the complainant.

ECA Registered Member

All ECA Registered Members are required to demonstrate their technical competence on joining the Association and at regular intervals thereafter. The benchmark used by the Association for demonstrating that competence is the Electrotechnical Assessment Scheme (EAS), maintained and published by the Institution of Engineering and Technology. (IET).

ECA Guarantee of Work Scheme

The Guarantee of Work Scheme automatically guarantees all ECA Registered Members' work, subject to terms and conditions, and removes the need for the contractor to enter into an insurance contract with customers. The guarantee is Part P and TrustMark compliant and covers completed contracts in any calendar year up to a value of £50,000 (including VAT) and £100,000 (including VAT) for multiple contracts for the same customer.

ECA Warranty

The Warranty covers work with a contract price in excess of £50,000 and to a limit in accordance with Registered Members' contract value limit, which is stated on each firm's certificate.

CHAS

The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS), is a health and safety accreditation scheme for the construction industry, and often acts as a type of pre-qualification during the tender process.

The purpose of CHAS is to help both buyers and suppliers in the assessment of health and safety competence.

As an accredited contractor, it means that our health and safety policies, organisation, arrangements and records have been assessed and passed by CHAS assessors.

Staxson are proud to have achieved the highest level of CHAS accreditation on offer which is the CHAS - Elite Accreditation.

CHAS Elite, also known as The Common Assessment Standard, is the industry gold standard.  It is recognised across the industry as the most influent accreditation level and backed by Build UK and CECA.

ISO-45001-2018-badge-white.jpg

ISO 9001:2015

ISO 9001 is the internationally recognised standard for Quality Management System (QMS). This certification demonstrates our ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements. In turn, this provides customers with assurance that they will receive consistent, quality products and services

ISO 14001:2015

ISO 14001 is the international standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS). It was designed by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) to help businesses and other organisations to reduce their environmental impact.

This standard allows the business to help reduce waste, improve resource efficiency and cut waste management costs.

ISO 45001:2018

ISO 45001 is the new international standard for occupational health and safety management replacing the OHSAS 18001 standard. The standard reduces workplace risks to improve employee safety.

Gaining the ISO 45001 certification demonstrates that our business operates a best-practice Occupational Health and Safety Management System – reducing the likelihood of accidents and breaches of legislation, as well as improving your organisation’s overall performance.

This Standard surpasses many existing health and safety standards because it has been developed by a committee of occupational health and safety experts. It takes into account other international standards in this area such as OHSAS 18001, the International Labour Organization’s ILO-OSH Guidelines, various national standards and the ILO’s international labour standards and conventions. This makes it one of the most valuable Health and Safety Management Systems available to date.
